A Student-Centered Approach
A Student-Centered Approach
WHO WE ARE
At Full of Joi Group, we hold a simple conviction: school should be a place of belonging, purpose, and joy — a joyful right, not a daily fight. We work alongside students, parents, educators, and the communities that hold them. Our roots are in the Portland Metro Area, and our reach extends to school systems and states across the country, wherever the support is needed most.
Founder Monique Joi Johnson came to this work through lived experience before she ever had a professional title for it. She is a mother of two remarkable Black sons: one young adult balancing coursework and his first professional pursuits on a strong STEM foundation — and one stepping bravely into all that middle school brings — both knowing they are loved and encouraged to chase big goals. She is also an engaged aunt who walked with her niece all the way to a 2025 graduation and helped her prepare for college life. She knows what it feels like to love a child deeply and still watch them navigate systems that weren't built with them in mind.
She brought that understanding into schools. As a seasoned Student Attendance Coach, Monique specializes in identifying and removing the barriers that keep kids from showing up, thriving, and feeling like they belong. Across her work as an entrepreneur, realtor, stylist, and healthcare advocate, the throughline is the same: fierce, whole-family advocacy. Monique serves as Secretary and Chair of the Nominating Committee on the Community Health Center Board in Multnomah County — because home ownership, educational equity, and community health have always been part of the same work for her.
